Watched a good Chinese movie today. I seriously don't remember the last time I watched a movie with such a good cast. Actually, I don't remember the last Chinese movie I watched.

I remember watching Ted sometime this week, but thats not chinese or asian.

ANYWAYSS, about the Chinese movie I watched today...

I watched the movie in the mandarin version. Linda's voice was dubbed, since her mandarin really isn't that good. Chen Kun is from China so no dubbing for him. Shawn has pretty good mandarin so no dubbing for him either, his little canto accent is so cute!

So, the plot goes like this:

(STOP RIGHT HERE IF U DONT CARE, OR DON'T WANT TO READ SPOILERS)

Michael Mak (played by Shawn Yue) is a cop in C.I.D from a wealthy family. His way of solving cases is very unique; he always uses his dad's money to bribe the bad guy, to give it to victims who want to suicide, etc.. Or..well, he always ends up wasting money to solve his cases. And people say he's just wasting his dad's money, and he really has like no friends at all, except for his ex girlfriend, Lisa (played by Linda Chung).

Lisa (linda chung), so pretty

Michael has a "ehhh" relationship with his dad, they barely interacts, don't see each other often etc. He also has a step mom, in which they have a decent relationship, but don't live together so little interactions too. His dad actually cares about Michael very much and helps Michael stay in the police force with his high class ways, like money or whatever. Michael also actually cares a lot about his dad, his cell's quick dial #1 is to call dad, #2 is to get money from his dad, #3 is to set up appointment with his dad/ ask his dad's assistant to find his dad.

After solving another case using money, he is called to his boss's office. While walking there, a guy dressed very similar to him (BOTH ARE FREAKING HOT), asks for direction, and he is kinda not so happy about how the guy "supposedly" copied him. Michael is then  [temporarily] put out of his job. He left, bumping into the same guy again, and then bumps into Lisa (ex gf, remember?). Turns out Lisa has a "[friendship]" date with that guy. Who's name is Lincoln (played by Chen Kun).
Lisa is also Lincoln's assistant, along with another male assistant, named David (played by Tan Jun Yan) that used to Lincoln's brother's assistant.

Michael, obviously still likes Lisa, so he strongly dislikes Lincoln.

Lincoln's older brother and his older brother's girlfriend was murdered. Lincoln, who used to be a police officer, but is now taking over his brother's business, decides to find out who killed his brother.  Lincoln is also very wealthy but is the opposite of Michael; he doesn't waste money, etc.

Michael decides to help Lincoln but under one condition: Lincoln has to leave Lisa alone after they find the murderer. (Isn't it illegal for them to get involved in the case...? like w/o the police knowing or whatever, idkk...?)


Michael and Lincoln eventually becomes friends by putting each other down when searching for the murderer, and even shares laughter, and protects each other's lives. They both also eat dinner with Lisa once in a while throughout their [3 week] case. They all appear to be very happy even though there's a relationship triangle. But they're all friends. so yeahh.

Laterr, Lincoln suddenly faints, is sent to the hospital. And Lisa and Michael finds out previously, while he was still a cop and on a case, someone shot him in the head and he didn't bother to remove the bullet. Now, the surgeons don't have much hope if he was to perform the surgery now/in the near future.
Doctors say he has about 3 weeks left to live, and Lisa finds out the reason Lincoln didn't want to be "formally' date her was b/c of this.


Then, Michael finds out his dad has declared bankruptcy and Michael's house is taken away from him (since it is all his dad's money). He packs a luggage and sleeps in the hospital with Lincoln. (really cute relationship here with Lincoln and Michael!)

Next morning, Lisa calls Michael to inform him that she saw his dad by the dock. Michael gets there, he comforts him, (although it looked like he didn't need much comfort), and then they agreed to have dinner. But, phone arrives, Lincoln had news about the murderer, and Michael's dad says if its for work, we can have dinner another day. So they planned and PROMISED to have dinner tomorrow.

Michael is informed that Lincoln's business has an annual cruise party (high class ppl) and some bad guys come to kidnap Lisa and some other rich business man. Michael and Lincoln then gets phone call from bad guy telling them both to get money and later they will be told directions. Michael is stressed since he doesn't have the large amount of money, and Lincoln (since hes still rich) says that i'll provide you your money.

The next day...

(STOP RIGHT HERE IF U DONT CARE ANYMORE, GET TIRED OF READING, OR IF U WANT TO WATCH THE MOVIE URSELF, CUZ THERE'S EVEN MORE SPOILERS AHEAD.)

They get the money, and then is told by the bad guy to get out of the car, and get another ten thousand dollars each from anyone on the street, or to steal, whatever, but no going to the bank to get money. They had a time limit and the begged everyone, tried to sell their car, but nothing worked. The murderer tells them both to bark like a dog to the passerbys, they do, and then were told to get in a white van. They are knocked out, and wakes up to be locked up. Lisa is tied up on a chair on the outside of their cage.

Lisa (played by Linda Chung) Linda in 2008...she had bangs??

Murderer turns out to be David (Lincoln's brother's assistant, and Lincoln's assistant too, after Lincoln takes over his bro's business, REMEMBER?!?) (That was veryyy unexpected for me, cuz his assistant was freaking loyal and nice and all that. ) David tells them that Lincoln's bro treated him cruelly, sometimes abused him, and even took David's gf and had sex with her. From that point on, he hated rich people, and yeahh.

David (murderer assistant) then told Lincoln and Michael to fight each other until one of them dies, and the other can take Lisa and go. David threatened to cut off all of Lisa's fingers if they did not do so. So they start "playfully" push and punch each other around. David gets pissed and tells them he wants to see blood, and angrily chops off Lisa's pinky finger. Seeing this, Lincoln and Michael starts to get violent with each other to save Lisa's life.

On the side, outside the gate, David's assistants in the evil plan is splitting& counting money, then one of them gets up to say that they've left the most amount of money for him, and they're leaving. David says i thought we're in this together, to the very end, we'll share more stuff, we'll get more rich. The assistant says we're not like you, we don't hurt girls (and they obviously didn't know David was taking it this far), right now you're just a crazy dog. David then shoots all of this assistants. 

Lincoln and Michael stops to watch, after the shooting, David yells at them to continue and puts a gun to Lisa's head. They both yelled out "noo, come in here, kill me. kill me first, don't kill her" but lisa told David to kill her. David tells Lisa but I want to kill the boys first,(wanna make Lisa watch them die), and then abuses and injures Lisa again. Lincoln and Michael attempts to break the metal fence. In the end, Lisa's chair helped the fence break and they got out, both attacking David.

David whips out the gun, ready to shoot, but Michael grabs a hold of him spun him around and pointed the gun in a safe direction while David shot madly in the air. David runs out of fire and tries to run away. Michael runs after him, then stops to fight. Michael is hurt quite badly. Finally, Lisa, Michael, and Lincoln knocks him out (pretty sure hes dead for good), and then ties up his hands for just in case.
All three are injured and hurt pretty badly. Lisa talks to Lincoln while Michael drags himself into a near wall. Then they both drag themselves to where Michael is. Michael repeats the words "中了" several times. (hard to translate to english.)

(STOP RIGHT HERE IF U GOT TIRED OF READING, OR IF U WANT TO WATCH THE MOVIE URSELF, OR DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE ENDING, CUZ ITS SAD.)

Michael tells them that while he chased and fought David, he got stabbed into his back waist area REALLYY bad, like it went IN. He then says to lisa "tell me u still love me, tell me." lisa says, on the verge of tearing up, "can we not talk about his, this is not the time." michael says in a really weak voice,  "why can't u just comfort me?" lisa says, half crying" i dont want to lie to you, i don't like you that way." michael says"ur no fun. I'm not gonna die anymore." lisa playfully hits michael and says "u were fooling around with me?"

ohmygawd,  Michael (Shawn) is so hottt

Michael then drags himself up and walks really slowly away. But he was too weak and had to stop and sit. Lincoln noticed lots of blood dripping from him as he walked and quickly ran to Michael. they said some stuff. and then Michael says "wait, i can't die yet. I promised to eat dinner with my mom and dad." then lincoln says u cant die, i still have to go through my brain surgery, and i'll survive it, and we'll all be best friends, etc." michael says to him"take care of lisa, etc." and then u can see that a huge amount of blood is piled up around Michael, and he finally dies. Lincoln and Lisa cries in pain.

The camera then moves over to Michael's dad and stepmom sitting at the dining room table. The stepmom says"we have to wait until Michael comes. he promised."

Camera then moves over to like 6 or 10 years later, something like that.
Lincoln and Lisa are at Michael's grave. They are married, Lisa is also pregnant. Lincoln survived his brain surgery and says "We have decided to name our son's english name Michael. I always thought i was the one that won't survive, never expected you to go before me. don't worry about ur parents, they're good, i'll take good care of them."

THE END.

okay, i just have to say one thing. I'm crying as I type up the last 4 paragraphs before "the end"

and i was crying while watching the movie too. just so sad.

I reallly didn't expect Michael to die either. omg....

But i guess, either Michael or Lincoln had to die cuz lisa can't end up with both. And in Lisa's heart, she really loves Lincoln, only thinks of Michael as a bestie.

Michael (Shawn Yue) was sooooo hot in the movie, like the way he dressed, the way he acted, the way he talked (mandarin with slight canto accent) was sooo adorable!

of course, Lincoln (Chen Kun) was reallly cute too. I think I'll have an obsession with him real soon.

And Lisa (Linda Chung) is my favorite actress.

So reallyy good cast, since I already know all of them beforehand too. (Chen Kun not so much, only knew him from the video "beijing welcomes you". but def. really familiar with linda and shawn)And I really would've never expected Linda and Shawn to be in a movie together *FANGIRL*

Great movie, violent at times. But I'd say a GREAT MOVIE to end the year 2012.  

Definitely a must watch if you're up for hot guys and action and a touching story.

Basically did nothing interesting after Christmas.

Finally went out again today with mom and bro.

Went to downtown bell. planning to eat at Jonah's, since my mom has this coupon, then go to bell.square go buy bath&body works stuff then to JC Penney to use my $10 coupon.

Turns out that Jonah's wasn't open, so we just went to McD's. and then bro and went to do whatever, and mom and I went to bath&body works, bought stuff. then finally went to JC Penney. I don't get why some people don't shop there, it has a wide variety of stuff, and it doesn't just sell its brand like lululemons.
Anyways, so i got this button thingy and then it gave me a $10 coupon that expires dec.31, 2012, so i used it today. Bought a pair of jeans for $20, minus $10, plus tax= $10.95, then the lady asked if i wanted to donate the 5 cents, and im like sure why not. so really i spent $11.

Then we wandered in to Hollister, cuz they have a sale too.

Then, we went to Factoria, went to walmart cuz my dad told us that if we every went there we should look for this thing for the bathroom or whatever. ended buying some notebooks. then to old navy. There's a sale in there. Bro got a yellow jacket, and mom/me got this warm black scarf for only $1. ONE DOLLAR. can you believe that? yeahh ikkrrr, but its not like those silky, urban, fashion scarf. Idc, its warm, and the material feels good.

Merry Christmas to anyone that will come across this post, whether you're a long time reader, or just happen to come across this post on your search engine. I really don't have much to say so I'll keep this post short. I actually really want a white Christmas, but that's probably not gonna happen. Whateverr..


I've never gotten so much gifts for Christmas before, this is the first year. Well, I guess that's cuz half of them come from my friends at school. I hope you guys have fun opening up presents and spending a great time with your loved ones. Stay warm, safe, and have fun!

I woke up this morning, and i was superr excited to open it all up. It was soo fun unwrapping them. Even though I had an idea of what was gonna be inside the wrapping paper, my friends still surprised me(:
I lovedd everything! And like i said earlier, this REALLY is the first year getting so many presents.

not that much stuff, but somehow i feel quite happy today, well at least i didnt feel that it was boring. I guess Christmas is a magical day, filled with happiness.

Woke up, ate breakfast/lunch. Emily C.(family friend)'s mom and her came to pick us up, then went to pick another shi gu up (Howard S.'s mom). she gave us both a goody bag with asian food in it :D

Anyways, we drove to Northgate Mall to volunteer for this gift wrapping thing, to raise money for kids with cancer.

So we just wrapped presents for people, and yeahh. It was actually pretty fun. And i gained more gift wrapping experience, now I want to re-wrap the presents I had previously wrapped for my friends..



There was this old lady that donated extra money. Then she needed some help to bring her wrapped presents to her car (cuz they were extra huge) so me and E.C helped her to her car. and before we left, she pulled out a 20 dollar bill and told us to go spend it yourself, don't tell our parents, thanks for helping her and yeahh. dangggg soo freaking nice.

we decided that we couldn't let our parents figure out we had 20 bucks, so we decided to buy something small, so we could just stuff it in our pocket and not let them know.

Lip gloss we bought with the money the nice lady gave us(:

So then, EC and I went back, told them we had to go to the bathroom, and went to Bath & Body Works. There was a buy 2 get 1 free for lip balm/gloss. so we each picked out one, (turned out that we had picked the same lip gloss) and then she picked another one. She kept the extra lip balm and i kept the extra change. (we did all this in like around 5 min. so it'll actually seem like we went to the bathroom) then we went back wrapping presents happily. What a nice grandma(:
It's like a Christmas present we bought for ourselves, thankss lady.

Then at like 4, we carpooled with the same people back home. EC's mom went to work, and left EC with us. EC and I shared with each other the people we liked. (hehe xD) then another family friend (different one) came and we went to a chinese restaurant together. Full(:



Then came back, EC and I were on Youtube watching videos my friend, LZ linked me. and then we found ourselves clicking on related videos to view more short movies/dramas (around 5 min. long).

EC's mom came to pick her up at around 9:30.

Today was so fun(:

Now I'm just relaxing in my PJ's blogging, and listening to JJ Lin, Mayday,(band), Louis Koo, etc(:

PE-practiced a bit then got into performances. i will rant about that beloww. (Prepare for MAJOR frustration)
English- My friend, R.N gave me a bag of holiday treats, thanks sweetie! Mr. O is out, probably sick, since he has been coughing for the past few days, and hes rarely out. sub was okay. finished the movie Jakob the Liar. I cried at the end. well i didnt really cry, there were tears in my eye, and then i blinked and the tears fell down my face and then i had to wipe them away. so sad :'( A few of my friends did too.

I'm sorry if the ppl in my dance group ever read this, or if stuff spread about what i said about them on my blog. It' just how I feel, and I have every right to express my anger and feelings.

so we did not have our moves down, we made up and changed some stuff last minute. we were unorganized, unready, and honestly, TERRIBLE. Every other group was better than us. And we got a 16/20. Thats a B. Why? cuz L.G., E.B, and S.S were all stubborn as crap, all insisted in their ways, and all had veryyyy strong opinions. Which means that they don't even listen to each other. and when S.S suggests an idea, L.G. puts on her stupid attitude face and complains, instead of saying in a nice way that she disagrees. I'm just soo fudging tired of my group. All they do is suggest one thing, someone objects, come up with another move, tries out the move, someone complains its too hard, suggest another thing, someone objects, come up with another move, tries out the move, someone complains its too hard, etc.. SERIOUSLY. STOP FUCKING ARGUING. I'm just soo pissed off.



and S.S just cares too much about her grades, for ex: "I just want to get a good grade." STOPPPP stressing out. and stoppp changing stuff. PUH LEASEE. I AM BEGGING YOU.

And L.G, quit it with the stupid attitude. Stop looking at other guys, stop obsessing over them, and PLEASEEE pay attention. stop looking at other groups too. FOCUSS.




E.B. thanks for being nicer than L.G when objecting S.S's opinions.

I want to tell those 3 to shut the fuck up for the whole dance unit and let Chloe C., Celine C, and me take over. We're the ones that just keep quiet, listen to them argue, and follow what they say. I want the 3 that always argue to be the followers, and for us to take over. We don't speak up, but if we do, we probably won't argue as intense as you guys, to the point that S.S has tears in her eyes.



I don't want our friendship to be ruined because of one stupid dance routine. And with S.S having tears--that just doesn't work out. She's stressed out, and I totally understand, but sometimes you just need to chill.

Now, S.S. and some others wants to re-do it,(ESPECIALLY S.S), and L.G doesn't really want to. My opinion? (which i didn't say) IF YOU GUYS ARE GONNA FUCKING KEEP ARGUING AND CHANGE A MOVE EVERY 1 MIN. WE'RE GONNA END UP WITH THE SAME FUCKING GRADE IDIOTS. There's seriously no point in re-doing it in front of everyone AGAIN on Friday if they keep arguing. We'll just embarrass ourselves in front of everyone like we did today.

Urghhhh......



Back to today....

so after we did our performance, our group, except for me went to sit on the farther side of the gym, and I went and sat at the closer side, with M.L. After the dance, I was just so tired of my group, tired of me messing up because we didn't practice, because they kept changing every move so I couldn't keep up, so all of us only had less than 10 min. to practice the final thing. And then saying that we'd do this (specific) dance move, but on the final thing, no one did the (specific) dance move.

So I went and sat with M.L. and i just POURED out all my feelings. I could not hold them in. And i was sooo glad she was in my class too, that I'd have someone to talk to. And as I rant to her about our fail group, I found tears collecting up in the back of my eyes.



I want to get a good grade too; everyone does. But if something doesn't changes about the way S.S, L.G, and E.B bosses the group, then we won't be dancing to What Makes You Beautiful, we'd be dancing to What Makes You FAIL.

Also, the things we wear. After I got home, I found another message on my fb sent by S.S. to the whole group saying the NEW moves she had thought of (SEE WHAT I MEAN BY ALL THAT RANT ABOVE?!?), and then saying that we should wear all white because it's also white out for our school spirit week.



At this point, theres  NO reason why we should even be talking about what we're wearing. What we wear shouldn't even matter if our dance is good.

I really don't know whats gonna happen on Friday but whatever it is, I just hope everything turns out okay. I just hope that our group can cooperate more, focus during practice, listen to each other's opinions, and respect other views. 




I'm gonna end my rant and complain, and I will make my final statement here:
If I had a chance to go back and re choose our groups, I'd join ANY, and I mean ANY, other groups without hesitation.

Chinese-so boringgg, at least i sit next to an entertaining person, AL.
PE- formed dance groups. Sonia S, Emma B, Lin G, and Celin C. and we're dancing to 1D
Geometry-Ian (Ms. W's bf) came today!! everyone was surprised since she didnt tell us b4hand.
Lunch-best thing happened. i'll describe that down there.
English- started a movie, and also finished notes on holocaust timeline.
Bio- test was really easy. have a feeling we're switching seats 2morrow.

so now at lunch.

so i was throwing my trash away cuz i saw saturn in the distance about to walk this way. so then i threw my trash away and i was wondering if i should turn towards him and do our usual thing or turn and walk away.

 b4 i could do anything he called out "yo miranda, do u have time to do a survey?" and i was like DYING on the inside. i was thinkinng "i have all the time for youuu." but anyways so then we moved to the side, to this table in front of where i sit, and theres no one on that table so we just stood by the edge. so he did this survey on me and his voice is like SUPERRRR low so i couldnt even understand his first few words, it took time to get use to. anyways so he asked something like do i no what a drive thru bobbba is and i couldnt understand so i was liek umm no. and then i realized i do, but i was like whatever, just went along with it. and then he went thru his questions, and there was a back too. and then i kept looking at my frds cuz i was nervous and they were all liek damnn surprised. and then after that i went to my friends, made sure he left and started screaming.

OMG <33 best Monday ever. I was reallyyy surprised though. Seriously, the last thing I expected was for him to call out to me like that <3

I hope he doesnt read this blog, im gonna die.

Definitely the best Christmas present ever. Well, the gifts my friends [are gonna] give to me will be awesome too, but this is idkk different. It's something money can't buy. Thank you God, for this fate, for this experience <3

Noww, there COULD be another present that would be wonderful! TVB's 2013 calendar! Deadline of the drawing was 11 min. ago (9:00pm) I really reallyyyyy wanna win it. Pleasee pleaseee pleaseeeee God. Pleaseeeeee. It's just something that would be really meaningful, pleaseeee.

And if i could get that, which seems a little too good to be true (but i must stay positive, anything is possible, and i definitely have a chance to win it), it would be the most meaningful present. Since TVB really is meaningful to me. All the actors and actresses <3 the company has become part of my life.

Hmmm i think it'd actually make more sense to switch the best christmas present and the most meaningful around, since the Saturn one is something money cant buy, so it'll be meaningful, but whatever. they're both meaningful.

Anyways, please God, lemme win this calendar. Pleasee.

I really should be studying for bio test tomorrow, only studied less than 30 min.

Instead, I wrapped and prepared several presents for my friends to give out on Friday. I actually really enjoy doing that, its funn(:

Yesterday (sat.) i went to chinese school. signed in (for TA) and got a Kripsy Kreme glazed donut (YUM!) and this really pretty key chain. Thankkss staff members. Then went to my classroom and a girl student came up (her mom's the room parent) and she gave me a bag, inside theres a tin can of Stockmeyer's shortbread Cookies(they lok like Danish cookies to me) and a $15 Starbucks giftcard. the money used to buy this was from each kid's family chipping in some money to buy presents for TAs and teacher.
First Christmas present received!

After chinese school, went with family friend to this place. and we ate fried rice and had soup with a few other shi gus (ummm staff members of chinese school). later, my 9th and 10th grade Chinese teacher came to teach us how to bake cakes, since shes excellent at that. So we stayed there for like 2 hours(?) and watched as she explained step by step. i got to take home a cake we made there. it feels good to see a cake start from nothing to wonderful fresh cake.

then went to family friend's house for a short while and then her mom drove me home.

The TVB Anniversary Awards is just a few hours away!! im gonna be waking up to results posted. AHHH so nervous. why am i even nervous -,- first thing i do when i wake up: check for winners. especially TVB king and queen. urghhh. cantt waitt. tomorrow, my tumblr dashboard is gonna be spammed with pics and personal feelings/criticism from the event. and it will keep appearing on my dashboard for a good 3 weeks before slowly vanishing.

Blissful Ferris Wheel/Missing You/幸福摩天輪 is also coming out soon. On Tuesday. Ahh can't wait!!!! Linda and Jason and Lin Xia Wei :D

Anyways, so I've started noticing you around June 26th ish of this year. That's pretty recent. But i have watched other dramas of you before, just haven't taken the time to go and really discover you. And that's because TVB hasn't gave you a major role yet. Except for now. 12/18 Blissful Ferris Wheel is coming out! and you're the main guy! along with Linda Chung and Lin Xia Wei. ahh can't wait!!

2012 has been a pretty darn good year for you I'd say. Getting casted in a more obvious role in No Good Either Way (thats how i first discovered you) and then getting casted in Blissful Ferris Wheel. After the drama starts airing, you're gonna be getting so much more fame and recognition than before I bet. Can i please keep you to myself?
