I'm pretty sure dramas I've mentioned before like Fated to love you, has won at least one, if not, multiple awards.
So I'm gonna talk about a new one. Days We Stared at the Sun. (literal meaning: They exploded the day before graduation)
It won best drama in Asian Television Awards in 2011 and several awards in Taiwan's Golden Bell Awards.

Synopsis:

Chen Hao Yuan is a good student with a mellow personality. His best friend, Hong Cheng Yi, is a bad student who did time in juvenile detention for bank robbery. Together they helped their classmate get off drug addiction, exposed their teacher’s dirty secrets, and even tried to find the bees that have gone missing because of the upcoming 2012 apocalypse. Then one day, their lives turned for the worse when a senator and his loan sharks caused Hao Yuan’s father to commit suicide. The boys got a gun and decided to explode the day before their high school graduation.

It's a very short drama, only 5 episodes. But the story is very touching and it offers more to the audience than any 20episodes drama.
I don't know how you describe this drama. It seems a bit more realistic, and it's not about a love triangle. There's some lovey dovey stuff, but that's not the main point. The main point is the friendship, and overcoming their hard lives, and proving justice.

Very sad ending. Gosh, it's always the sad endings that's good.
Also, it' kinda inappropriate sometimes. Definitely a must see. And it's very short, so it won't drag on.
