The East Side
I'm backk! Ahh~ the east side was a lot of fun. Okay, so I went to Washington DC, Niagara Falls, New York City, and Boston. The pictures attached below are not mine, they are taken from the internet.
Friday 7/15- Everything was packed and we head to the airport. Gate 11. But we sat at Gate 10. And so guess what?
WE. FREAKING. MISSED. THE PLANE. OMG rite? i know... Got back to house at around 1 ish.
Saturday 7/16- Boarded the plane. Sitting at the right spot. Whew. Took the plane To Chicago, then from there to Washington DC.
Sunday 7/17- Reached Washington DC. And I HATE IT SO MUCH,
I HATE WASHINGTON DC!!! it's soooo annoying and the rules are freaking strict. All the buildings and monuments and stuff search all your stuff. We went to this art museum and we had all our luggage w/ us, so they were like you gotta take this into the search room or wtever. and then the lady there was like "is there a laptop in there? you gotta take that out. is there a cell phone in there? take that out. t
ake all personal belongings out. im just like eff you woman. so then we decided not to go to that art place. Seriously ppl, what are you afraid of? Afraid we're gonna steal your paintings? Do you see the size of you painting? They're 10 times bigger than our backpacks. We won't be able to stuff it in
dummy. You afraid someone's gonna bomb the place? Who would bomb that dipshi* place? God, I hate Washington DC so freaking much.
Anyways, at night we took Megabus to Buffalo City, New York. Slept on the bus and stuff. Had wi-fi and outlets on the bus so it was okay.

Monday 7/18- When we reached Buffalo City, NY it was about 6:00ish AM. Boarded a local bus after that and got to Niagara Falls City, NY. My bro, mom and I went on Maid Of the Mist (See Picture below) while my dad watches our luggage. (he already went on it before). It's a pretty
exciting boat ride. You get wet, so they give you a raincoat. Then we crossed the bridge to Canada. We walked over, taking pictures of the falls along the way. We ate at
Wendy's for lunch and then checked in at our hotel (Best Western Plus), which is across from Wendy's. It's a really good hotel.
The pool was pretty sweet too. There was also a
hot tub. For dinner we bought a
bucket of KFC chicken and a bottle of Ginger Ale at this superrr cheap grocery store. Also bought donuts for tomorrow's breakfast. Oh for dinner there was also some fries--from KFC. After dinner, we took the bus to a place near Niagara Falls. And we walked around. You could see like the place before the water falls down. And if you keep staring at the water,
you'll get dizzy. It travels fast. And we were pretty close. When the
sky turned dark, the lights turned on, and shone onto the waterfall. It was really pretty and there were
multiple colors. After that we went back to our hotel. I was so tired last night. Thinking back,
I really miss that day. It was really fun, especially the hotel.
Has it really been a week already? Wow. (Typed on Monday, 7/25)

Tuesday 7/19- When we woke up, we took the three buses that went around the area of Niagara Falls (we had a 24 hour pass and the time wasn't up yet). There was blue line, red line, and green line. After that we walked back to US. And then for lunch we ate at
Denny's. My mom ordered
Ultimate Skillet, dad ordered
New! Sante Fe Skillet, bro ordered
Bacon Slamburger (See picture below) and I ordered
Hickory Grilled Chicken Sandwich. I think mine was the best. My
chicken was freaking big and there was
onion rings on them. It tasted so good. and my mom kept
stealing my fries. LOL. After that we took a one hour ish bus to an airport and hanged there for multiple hours. When the time came, we went outside and waited for the Megabus
to New York City. Since we weren't the first stop, seats were limited. Luckily, I sat next to my bro but both my mom and dad had to sit next to strangers.
Spent the night on the megabus again.
I wish I could go back to last week. It's 12:02pm right now, which means 3:02pm over on the East Coast. Hmm...a week ago we would probably eating at Denny's, or maybe finishing. Sigh. (typed on tuesday, 7/26)

Bacon Slamburger. (Couldn't find a picture of my Hickory Grilled Chicken >.<) |
Wednesday 7/20-After getting off the Megabus we took the subway to Battery Park. Then walked to the harbor, boarded the ship and got to
Liberty Island. My bro climbed the narrow stairways to the crown of the
Statue Of Liberty. (See picture below) Then we boarded the ship to
Ellis Island. Watched a video clip there that almost made me fell asleep... Then took the ship back to New York City and ate lunch at
Quizno's Subs. Crowed. Superr crowded. Then took the subway again to our
hotel, Comfort Inn. It was small because of the limited space in NYC, and there was no pool either. For dinner I think we ate at this
Korean place. The foods were really good. Anyways, then took the bus to the harbor again. It was traffic time, so it took a long long time. And I got so bored I decided to wave to this person in a
limo bus thingy. He waved back :) Then we reached the harbor and took the ferry that was free to this island i dont know. It was scary cause it was
really dark and there
weren't lights on some places so it was like pitch black except for the boat's lights. Oh and there was cute little African American boy that played w/ my bro and I. He's soo
adorable! Took the ferry back to New York, back to hotel, shower, sleep.

Thursday 7/21- Got up, ate the free breakfast at the hotel, and then went out.We took the bus to like...
Central Park. But then it was really hot and boring, so then we walked around NYC. We got to 5th avenue (the
street with all the famous brand stores) and went into one of the buildings to cool off. My brother went into
Nike Town and looked around. Just across the street from that building is
Abercrombie and Fitch. I wanted to go in there so badly, but didnt get to D: Later we walked to
New York Public Library. The place where the movie, "
The Day After Tomorrow" was filmed. It was really cool inside and we sat in there for like 5-10ish minutes? Next we walked over to that
Korean Restaurant we ate at yesterday and ate lunch. This time we were all full and the price was cheaper than yesterday's. Cuz we finally learned how to order right and eat fully. xD And then I think we walked around more, then settling at a
Burger King. We ordered drinks and just sat and relaxed. And then we decided to eat dinner at a
Chinese Box Buffet. 5 dishes for 5 bucks. we chose 10 dishes, 2 seperate boxes. The food were really good. Anyways, then we took 2 boxes to go--to save some for later on in the night. Then we went to
Times Square. (see picture below) Yup, that famous place. And then took the subway back to Comfort Inn at Long Island City (Queens Area). Showered, watched
Journey To The Center Of Earth (again) and parts of
Despicable Me. It's sooo cute!!Ate some more of the chinese food and went to sleep. Great day.

Times square, the place where if you turn on your TV during 12/31 @11:59,
you see billions and billions of people crowded here. |
Friday 7/22- After eating breakfast, we walked around NYC again. We bought sandwiches at Subway then went into line for the Megabus (see picture below) to come and take us to
Boston, MA. The megabus turned out to be really late and the 1:10 bus didnt even coem until 2:10. So our family thought it was the 2:10 bus and boarded it. Unluckily, we were towards the middle of the line (and it was a hugeee line) so we were like the last ones to get on. More unluckily, dad didnt get on the same bus as us. So we got
separated. Dad had to wait for the REAL 2:10 bus, even though it was already 2:10 at the time. Do you understand what im saying? yeah, i know, its a bit confusing. Anyways, more unluckily, there were barely any more seats left so my mom, bro, and i were
separated. Mom and bro were like 1 seat diagonally apart, towards the end of the bus. While I sat all the way towards the front of the bus.
With a korean 25ish(?) dude. It was soooo
awkward, and i couldn't relax for at least 20 minutes. I didnt even
dare to move. When he finally fell asleep, I set my backpack down on the floor and played w/ my ipod while listening to music on my mp3 player. I barely slept. And then he woke up. and then everyone around as woke up. And then we got to a resting stop at
hartford, CT. Thats when i finally knew he's a
smoker. he was smoking when we got to the resting stop. I didnt smell anything when he got back up on the bus tho, so that was okay. After that--it was really weird. I was on fb w/ my ipod touch, he was on fb w/ his iphone. I was listening to music, and so was he. We were doing
VERY similar things.. The bus finally arrived at Boston, MA at around 5. We sat and ate our subs while waiting for dad. It wasn't a long wait-he arrived in about 5-10 minutes. Next we took the subway to
Logan International Airport and then from there a shuttle from our hotel picked us up. Out hotel at Boston is the same as the one at NYC. Comfort Inn. When we reached there, it was about 9:20-30 ish? There was a pool.

Megabus! They all look the same~ |

Taiwan Cafe! Exact same place. |
Sat 7/23- After getting breakfast (free, again) we took the subway to
Harvard (See picture below). My dad wanted his friend, who's a
professor at Harvard to show us around the school campus and all that. But he had to go to Shanghai. Anyways, then we went into a gift shop and we
bought 2 tshirts-one for me, one for bro. After that we got tired so we went into McDonalds and ordered 4 drinks-set down and cooled off. Next we decided to eat lunch at
Taiwan Cafe (See picture to the left). The foods were so good. We ordered
lobster, seafood rice thingy, and pork w/ rice w/ chicken. It's sooo amazing. After that went back to hotel and went to the
pool. After that ate some ramen and the leftover lobster as dinner. At 11:00. Packed up our bags good.

Harvard campus! |
Sunday 7/24- Got up at 5:25am, so freaking tired. We grabbed some breakfast from the hotel and took the shuttle to the airport. Gave away a can of
sprite since it wasn't allowed through security. Plane comes. Went on it. Flew to colorado. Then back here. Washington. Seattle was actually quite sunny that day and quiet. It was the
opposite of the east side. Here, it's rainy, cloudy, quiet, not polluted, and peaceful. Over there, it's sunny, hot, loud, and polluted. But i do miss the east side, alright.
This was a great vacation..except for Washington DC. I'll go back to New York some day.
And that's a promise :)
